Please read these Terms of Use carefully BEFORE using the Web site. If at any time you do not wish to accept these Terms of Use, or if you do not agree with our Privacy Policy, please do not use the Web site or any services offered by the Web site. Your continuing access and use of the Web site signifies your acceptance of these Terms of Use. FULFILLMENT POLICY

A charge to your credit card in and of itself does not constitute approval of your application for initial licensure or renewal. However, if your application for initial licensure and/or renewal is approved, or a request for a duplicate licensure certificate is processed, no refund will be issued.

Once an application for initial licensure or renewal has been approved or a request for a duplicate certificate has been processed, all licensure materials will be available for download via the NCBDN online gateway.

DISPUTE POLICY

In the case of errors or questions about a charge:

If you believe an NCBDN charge to your credit card was processed in error, or if you need more information regarding a transaction charged by the NCBDN, please contact the NCBDN office as soon as possible. Please provide the following information:

  • Your name, license number, and the date of the transaction you are disputing/questioning;
  • The dollar amount of the suspected error; and
  • Any additional details you believe relevant.

Your claim will be reviewed promptly, and if it is determined by the NCBDN that a refund is necessary, a refund will be issued accordingly.

Public Disclosure

Government records in North Carolina are generally public in nature. The public policy of the State of North Carolina as established by the General Assembly is to “provide that, as a general rule, the public would have liberal access to public records.” For information to be confidential, a specific provision must be made in the law.

For this reason, part or all of the information you send the NCBDN may be provided to a member of the public in response to a public records request. Federal and State laws and regulations govern the dissemination of personal information maintained by the NCBDN.

In addition, on a “need to know” basis, the information you voluntarily provide to the NCBDN will be disclosed to NCBDN employees or officials in order to fulfill their job responsibilities. Such information will be utilized by employees in order to answer questions, fulfill NCBDN’s legal obligations, and respond to licensees’ requests for assistance. Where appropriate, the NCBDN may provide the information submitted by you to the person or entity that is the subject of your inquiry, or to a government agency responsible for the matters referenced in your communication.

If you e-mail us and include personal information, we may use that information in responding to your inquiry. E-mail is not necessarily secure or confidential. Send only the information that is necessary for the Board to answer your question or process your request. E-mail received and sent by the NCBDN is subject to the North Carolina Public Records Law.
