Requesting a License Verification

If an out-of-state agency requests that our office directly provides verification of your North Carolina license, please request this by sending an email to info@ncbdn.org with the following:

1. Your name
2. Your NC license number
3. Where you would like the verification to be sent (Email address preferred.)
4. If you have an out-of-state form that requires the NCBDN to complete on your behalf, please email a scan of it or fax the form, along with the written request.
5. Note, there is no fee for verifications.
6. You will receive a confirmation by email from our office when it is complete.

NOTE: Our office staff cannot fulfill a verification request like this via voicemail or phone; it must be requested in writing via email or snail mail.

You also have the option to generate, save, or print a letter of license verification that may meet your needs by accessing the NCBDN Licensee Gateway. Once logged in, click on your license, and on the following page under Options, download or print a License Verification Letter.
